Rafael Oliveira

2nd Degree Black Belt
Instructor Rafael Oliveira is a young man who has decided to dedicate his life to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is strongly committed to his journey of Mastering the Art. Discipline and focus are remarkable elements of his personality and made a big difference for one of the greatest achievement of his life: the World’s BJJ No Gi Championship in 2007. In Brazil, Rafael had the opportunity to train at the legendary Gracie Barra main School in Rio, where he was trained on the same mats and environment that made some of the biggest names of our sport. Always very caring, Rafael tries to understand his teammates and students and finds joy in sharing his knowledge with them.

Bryan Nakagawa

1st Degree Black Belt
Professor Bryan Nakagawa is a a two time IBJJF world champion. He holds a gold medal in both the brown belt, and black belt divisions. Around the academy he is infamous for his unique teaching methods, constructive criticism, and all around helpful nature.

Derek Nakagawa

1st Degree Black Belt
Professor Nakagawa has over 30 years of martial arts experience. He possesses a silver medial in from the Pan Jiu-Jitsu Championships, a bronze in the American Nationals, two gold medals at the Master and Senior Worlds, and two gold medals at the NoGi Worlds. In addition to being a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, professor Derek holds a fifth degree black belt in Aikido.
