Montalvo Family from Gracie Barra Yorba Linda

The Gracie Barra saying, “Organized like team fighting like a family,” accurately describes us. My son and I both started training at Gracie Barra in May of 2008. What started out as a simple mother and son activity quickly turned into a complete family affair. My husband and I both feel it important to keep our kids active and loved it when they showed the interest in martial arts. Although our girls have been in Tae Kwon Do, Gracie Barra has more than convinced us that this is the martial art we would love for them to know along with ourselves. Jiu-Jitsu has given us more self confidence and has improved our health. We started at Yorba Linda and also train in Irvine, and everyone no matter where we go have always been very helpful, patient and caring. We always feel welcomed to come, unlike other places, which is very important. We would like to thank all the Gracie Barra instructors and staff for always making us feel like a family from day one, but for also giving our family something we all can do together and enjoy doing that not only has brought us closer as a family but also will help us in everyday life.
